WHERE IS THE WATCH ACADEMY LOCATED?

The Watch Academy is located in the CIMIER building in Biel/Bienne in Switzerland. The address is: Chemin du Long-Champ 116, CH-2504 Biel/Bienne. We are located on the 3rd floor of the building.

WHERE IS THE WATCH ACADEMY LOCATED?

The Watch Academy is located in the CIMIER building in Bienne (Biel) in Switzerland. The address is: Route de Soleure 136, 2504 Bienne. We are located on the 7th floor of the building.

HOW TO FIND THE WATCH ACADEMY?

For cars, we have a large free parking in front of the building. If you are coming by train, take the number 2 bus to get to the bus stop called “Mettlenweg”.

IS THE WATCH ACADEMY ACCESSIBLE FOR PERSONS WITH REDUCED-MOBILITY?

Yes. The access from the parking is flat and a special slope was created for that purpose. Moreover, our Watch Academy floor may be easily reached by lift.

WHAT IS THE PRICE FOR A TRAINING SESSION?

Our training sessions start at 350 Swiss Francs for our 3-hour watchmaking introduction course. If you wish to create and assemble your own personalized watch, prices are between 1’200 Swiss Francs and 1’900 Swiss Francs for halfday sessions including your watch. Prices are between 1’800 Swiss Francs and 2’500 Swiss Francs for a full day session, including your watch and your lunch.

HOW TO GET INFORMATION ON THE DATES AND REGISTER?

Fill in the ‘Book your session’ form and will propose you several dates to welcome you at the Watch Academy.

DO WE HAVE TO BOOK WELL IN ADVANCE?

Most of the time, we are able to offer you a place for a training session one month in advance.

HOW LONG DOES A TRAINING SESSION LAST?

Combining theory and practice, our watchmaking introduction course lasts 3 hours. Half-day classes lasts 4 hours and can be organized in the morning or in the afternoon. Following a presentation of our company and the choice of your components, one of our master watchmakers will provide a theorical introduction to watchmaking and guide you though the assembly of your watch, the movement being pre-assembled. One-day classes usually take place from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm. In the morning, you will have a presentation of the watch company, followed by the choice of components, the assembly of the mechanical movement and a theoretical introduction by a master watchmaker. The afternoon will be dedicated to the assembly of all chosen watch components.

IN WHICH LANGUAGES WILL THE TRAINING TAKE PLACE?

Our training sessions are carried out in any one of the following 4 languages: French, English, German and Italian. For other languages please contact us.

WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE WATCH?

Currently, we are offering a case size of 43 mm.

WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF A WATCH ASSEMBLED IN THE WATCH ACADEMY?

The components available will enable you to make a high quality, unique and personalised watch. Every model is guaranteed for 3 years and bears the “Swiss made” label.

DO WE HAVE TO BE TECHNICALLY-MINDED TO TAKE PART IN A TRAINING SESSION?

No. A watchmaker will guide you through each step of the assembly.
